Michael Geselbracht is a life-long resident of Nanaimo, British Columbia. In recognition of the traditional lands of the Snu'ney'muxw (Nanaimo) Nation where Michael lives and grew up, he strives to connect with the local area in a healing and restorative way. Michael sees the importance of Food Forests as a solution to honouring our local forest ecosystems and creating our human habitats that feed us in abundant ways.

Michael is continually learning about food forests and how to develop more food forests in the Nanaimo Area.
Michael has a degree in Global Resource Systems at UBC (2010), and a teaching degree from Vancouver Island University (2014). He now teaches at Discover Montessori School in Nanaimo.
